Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Rob Bishop (UT-01) appeared on Fox News' America's News HQ on August 14, 2010 to discuss documents that he recently obtained from the Department of Interior (DOI) that show planning within the Administration to drastically increase the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) power and control over federal lands throughout the U.S.  The documents also reference efforts to acquire further federal lands despite the fact that one in three acres in the U.S. is owned by the federal government.

Bishop obtained the documents through a Congressional document request made in February 2010 when he first obtained pages 15-22 of a leaked internal DOI document that showed planning within the Administration to use the Antiquities Act to unilaterally lock up over 13 million acres of land by designating large swaths as National Monuments.
